“If you don’t come to the plate with a good offer, you will potentially lose some customers,” said Christian Wolters, the chief marketing officer at TourRadar, a small group tour operator that will offer discounts up to 70 percent off, compared to 60 percent last year.
Christian Wolters, chief marketing officer for the tour booking company TourRadar, recently returned from a trip in Vienna, and he didn’t see the need for any extra help. “From personal experience the lines were so small that even the COVID requirements and checking had little impact,” he said in an email.
“When you click on a tour,” explains Cameron Papp, the company’s head of public relations, “you’re able to find everything you need to know about a certain operator. We’re going to highlight the sustainability initiatives that each operator is engaging in.
‘We’re a little nervous about how it will do, but hopefully the vaccine news drums up some interest for tours later in 2021,’ said Cameron Papp, a spokesman for TourRadar.
